Shiva McMahon

Shiva McMahon is an accomplished international energy executive and non-executive director with over 30 years of leadership experience across the global energy and industrial sectors. Her career spans strategic oversight of large-scale operations and a strong track record in corporate governance.

She brings extensive board experience in both listed and policy-driven environments, having served as a Non-Executive Director of Castrol India (Mumbai Stock Exchange–listed) and Atlantic LNG. She has also held board positions with leading industry and policy organisations, including Australian Energy Producers (formerly APPEA), the US National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA), the Greater Houston Partnership, and the Houston Energy Transition Initiative.

Shiva’s executive career includes senior leadership roles with BP, BHP Petroleum, and Woodside Energy, where she served as Executive Vice President, International Operations following the merger with BHP Petroleum. Earlier, she was Chief Financial Officer of Castrol, BP’s global lubricants business, and most recently Chief Executive Officer and Director of Petro Australis Energy.

Having worked across five continents, Shiva offers a global perspective on energy markets and strategy. She speaks four languages, has published in the OPEC Review, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages (Law and Economics) and a Master’s degree in Business.
